The Pool of Sound is a specialist music project based in Newcastle upon Tyne which mainly provides one to one music sessions for a wide spectrum of people with learning and physical disabilities. They support people to create, rehearse, perform and record their own music in an appropriate music studio environment. The Pool of Sound also run a drop in band, which is a group music session for people with learning disabilities. The band is mixture of musicians with and without learning disabilities who come along every week to make music and mainly have fun - join in or watch from the audience - it’s up to you! Instruments and refreshments are provided. The drop in band takes place every Monday and Wednesday between 1.45pm and 3.15pm at Byker Community Centre (153 Headlam St. Byker Newcastle upon Tyne NE6 2DX).
