The student law office is a free legal service run by law students from Northumbria University. They take cases from the general public and provide advice, assistance and representation in court and tribunals.Students are closely supervised by qualified solicitors. Most of they do is free.

The student law office works in excess of 500 cases per year.You can ring for a discussion of the case and the likelihood it will be picked up. They are not able to offer support to all referrals. They can offer in employment law, housing law, welfare benefits, human rights, civil, consumer and contractual disputes, claims for criminal injury compensation, family work, criminal appeals work and commercial cases.
